Woke Up, Got Out Of Bed, Had A Song Inside My Head
Now that I’ve (supposedly) got the ‘ole BIYFactory up and running again, I thought I’d finally do what I’ve been threatening to do for a while (in my own head anyway), and that is to start a side blog of the songs that infest my brain when I wake up in the morning.
Maybe other people immediately start thinking about what they have to do that day, or think about something that may have occurred the night before. But for whatever reason, I wake up with music blasting through my noggin. For the most part they are good songs. But as I’m sure you can imagine, the occasional “can’t get it out of my head” songs force their way in.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the musical voices inside my head…
Today’s selection is Sufjan Stevens’ version of Joni Mitchell’s “Free Man In Paris.”
And while you’re at it, you should check out Sufjan’s “Songs for Christmas” box set for all your
indie x-mas goodness.
